About the Author

Dr. Sean Lenehan grew up in Virginia, the home state of both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Old brick streets, battlefields, and museums were his backyard, and the Founders felt like neighbors. He later studied at Hampden-Sydney College, whose early trustees included Patrick Henry and James Madison.

Today, he is a Florida-certified social studies teacher in Palm Beach County with a doctorate and postdoctoral experience in learning methodologies. As an educator and lifelong student of history, he discovers new things right alongside his classes and loves watching a child's face light up with a sudden, “Wait, that really happened?”

He created the Adventure Club to give families a screen-free way to explore American history. Each book follows real days from the story of America through mazes, codes, hidden objects, and puzzles, so kids ages 6 to 10 learn by doing. Every puzzle is built to practice a real skill, from careful looking to logic, and every book includes an answer key and a skills guide for grown-ups.
